Competent and intelligent project management is a fundamental and critical requirement for the success of any development project. GCA’s team, with over 20 years’ experience, has broad understanding and experience to take projects through each stage of development.

Complementing the skills and experience of our own team, GCA enjoys close professional relationships with several planning, surveying, environmental and geotechnical firms allowing us to offer a ‘one stop shop’ service for our clients.

A good example of the scope of projects GCA undertakes has been the delivery of the $20M Williamtown to Raymond Terrace wastewater transfer scheme on behalf of Hunter Land, for Hunter Water Corporation.

The scheme will eventually provide the long term solution to sewer servicing of the RAAF Base Williamtown, Newcastle Airport, and the proposed Williamtown Aerospace Park industrial / commercial development. GCA’s role includes:

  • Preparation of the brief for design consultants
  • Assessment of consultant tenders
  • Engagement of the design consultant
  • Management of the route options assessment, concept design and detail design
  • Liaison with Hunter Water Corporation’s operations, environment, asset management and property sections
  • Agency and stakeholder consultation including :
    NSW Office of Water
    NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change
    NSW National Parks
    NSW Roads and Traffic Authority Energy Australia
  • Preparation of construction tender and contract documentation
  • Assessment of construction tenders
  • Engagement of the successful Contractor
  • Contract management (Superintendency) throughout Construction phase
  • Responding to requests for information and resolving site issues during construction
  • Attaining final completion certificate from Hunter Water Corporation
  • Ongoing management of budget, timeline, and quality throughout the project
  • Ongoing regular status reporting to Hunter Water Corporation
