GCA’s technical and management expertise is led by the following senior members.

Ian Hill

Principal Civil Engineer / Managing Director

Ian is GCA’s Managing Director with over 20 years’ experience in multi-disciplinary management, civil engineering and design. He has successfully managed projects which include residential and industrial subdivisions, major industrial lot developments, road intersections, bridge crossings, trunk sewer mains and pump stations.

Prior to joining GCA in early 2010, Ian was NSW / ACT Executive for Land Development and Newcastle office manager for a large multinational planning, engineering and project management company.

Shayne Morrissey

Senior Structural Engineer / Director

Shayne, since joining GCA shortly after its inception, has been involved with the design, construction and refurbishment of many industrial, commercial and residential buildings. He has designed steel / portal frame and reinforced concrete structures, as well as completing dilapidation surveys for new and existing developments and structures.

Shayne, skilled in the use of Microstran, Aries 2000, and Slabs for structural and reinforced concrete analysis, is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer, and is registered in both NSW and QLD.

Adam Shaw

Senior Civil / Environmental Engineer Senior Project Manager

Adam is a Chartered Professional Engineer, and has played a key role in the planning and design of infrastructure for a number of large and significant development projects in NSW.

His technical expertise in infrastructure engineering and development covers bulk earthworks, road geometry and design, drainage, flooding, utility services, cost estimation, design and project management, and construction superintendency. This expertise, as well as his ability to manage the technical, business, planning and political complexities of projects, allows Adam to deliver high quality outcomes for clients.
